Northeast Contractors, Inc. completed site work for the new Greenfield High School in Greenfield, MA. This project constructed a new 2 story building with a footprint of about 98,000 square feet, located within a 22-acre plot of land that originally facilitated the previous school and athletic fields. The project was phased over the course of 26 months, allowing the school to operate while under construction

Re-location of the existing underground utilities was required in order to enable the new building footprint to be constructed while the existing school was still operational.

Once part of the new school was completed, the existing school was demolished, allowing the space for the remaining portion of the new school to be constructed, as well as new parking lots, driveways, and a new state of the art running track and multi-sport field. Over 20,000 cubic yards of topsoil was stripped, stockpiled, and re-spread over the course of the project. Also included in the site work were many new underground utilities, as well as new sidewalks, curbing, bio-retention ponds

The overall project budget was approximately $66 Million Dollars with the final site work value of $4.75 Million Dollars
